A small agency with big-name clients
The Marketing Method Group (TMMG) runs marketing for shopping centers and mixed-use properties: events, social media, email, advertising and the reports that prove it all worked. It is a two-partner firm backed by trusted contractors, with long-standing retained clients who answer to asset managers and owners.
Those audiences care about numbers. TMMG needed reporting that looked as polished as its work, without spending hours rebuilding it every quarter.
Jennifer kicked things off with a Digital Efficiency Jumpstart: a deep dive into what resources TMMG has, which software it uses, how the team works together and what matters most to the partners, so she could read between the lines.
Start by mapping everything, then fix what matters most
The work began with a Digital Efficiency Jumpstart: an assessment with Jennifer and the two agency partners in the room. Jennifer surveyed how the business runs, every tool and subscription, who uses what, and where client data comes from.
The pain points came through clearly. Reporting pulled from too many places. Reports took hours to assemble. Shared files lived in personal accounts. The team also wanted a higher polish for clients who read spreadsheets, not creative briefs.
A workspace the business owns, not one person’s login
Jennifer has worked closely with Google Workspace for many years and knows the small setup choices that make it work better. She set up Google Workspace synced to TMMG’s domain, with an admin account and a shared drive, so files belong to the company. Email and calendar stayed in Microsoft, where the team already worked, so nothing they relied on broke.
They also mapped how to move ownership of existing Google files off personal accounts and into the shared drive, without turning them into shortcuts. Then Jennifer trained the team to use Google Drive the way they already use their Downloads or Desktop folder, so the new home for files felt familiar from day one.
One branded report per client, refreshed on its own
Instead of paying for a data connector, Jennifer built simple prep sheets for the numbers that can’t connect directly: social media, Mailchimp and programmatic ads. Google Analytics plugs in live. The Looker Studio report pulls it all together and refreshes on its own within about 15 minutes.
She designed it around what TMMG’s clients actually ask: is the marketing working, and where are the peaks and valleys? Fewer metrics, clearer charts, the agency’s branding, and one page per property, downloadable as a PDF so clients never hit a login screen.
The first report became the template. Each new project is a duplicate, not a rebuild.
Built to run without Super Tech Hero
Jennifer trained the team live on how to add a quarter’s numbers, duplicate a page for a new client and swap in a client’s logo, then wrote it all down in a step-by-step guide.
The guide covers the details that keep a report from breaking: add new rows instead of overwriting, copy client names exactly, keep formats consistent, and what to check if a chart shows “No data.” The team can now update and send reports on its own.
